A space for stories, music, and connection—with clarity about your information.
Who this notice covers
This notice describes The Sound of Becoming website, presented by Brand Misfit™ Media and coordinated by Charlene Brown of Bklyn Custom Designs®. It applies to this GitHub Pages website. Separate websites, event platforms, music services and download providers have their own privacy practices.
Browsing and listening
You can browse and listen without creating an account. With your optional analytics permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, page sections, sample playback, album and connection clicks, and program or keepsake download clicks. Microsoft Clarity provides interaction heatmaps and session replays to help us understand how visitors use the site. These tools may process device, browser, page, interaction and network information under their own policies. We do not send names or email addresses supplied by visitors as custom analytics fields. Download clicks measure the request, not proof that a file was saved; album clicks do not confirm a stream or purchase.
Hosting information
GitHub hosts this website. GitHub states that visitors’ IP addresses are logged and stored for security purposes, including when visitors are not signed in to GitHub. Its privacy statement describes how GitHub handles information collected through its services. See GitHub’s privacy statement.
Controls and preferences
Optional event analytics starts after analytics consent. When this site is embedded at Bklyn Custom Designs®, the surrounding page supplies your analytics preference; use Analytics preferences in the footer to change it. On the direct GitHub website, choose Allow analytics or No thanks; your choice is saved in browser storage for up to a year and can be changed in the footer. Supported Global Privacy Control signals disable optional event analytics. Declining optional analytics does not prevent music playback. Clarity and Google may use cookies or similar technologies after permission. See Microsoft’s privacy statement and Google’s privacy policy.
Links, redirects and downloads
Album buttons lead to independent music platforms through Bklyn Custom Designs® short links. Other buttons may lead to artist websites, social platforms, Google Drive downloads or the event invitation. When you follow those links, the destination and any redirect service may receive technical information and apply their own cookies, logging and account policies. These services are not covered by this notice. We do not receive your streaming-service password or payment details through this website.
If you contact us
If you choose to email a contributor or contact the organizer, the recipient receives the information you send and may use it to respond to your request, coordinate the event or discuss a proposed collaboration or music permission. Send only information needed for your request. Contributor contact destinations are identified on their pages; information sent directly to them is handled by those recipients.
Questions, requests and updates
For privacy questions or requests concerning information you supplied to the event organizer, use the contact options at Bklyn Custom Designs® and identify The Sound of Becoming. Contact a third-party provider directly for information it holds. We will consider requests as applicable and may need to verify them. This notice will be updated if the website’s information practices change.
